Creating a new price list

You can create a new contract or discount off price list for your customer on your account.

Written by Cristian Bolba

If you need to add a new separate price list for an existing customer, you can do this by following the steps below:

πŸ“Œ Notes:

  • All supplier accounts on the system will have a List Price and Cost Price list as standard.

  • There should be no customers attached to these price lists as they do not go to the customer for approval.

  • The List Price is designed for suppliers who use CSV invoicing so that they can have every product listed on the system for invoicing but not necessarily visible by the customer.

Create a price list

  1. Select Price Lists and then Manage Price Lists.

  2. Click Create New Price List.

  3. Complete the information as detailed below:

    • Public name - should be the name of the customer that will be linked to this price list.

    • Internal name is only required for suppliers who use the price file importer.

    • List Type - should remain as Contract prices (Discount off can be used to provide limited time special offer pricing to your customer).

    • Allow Purchaser override and Allow same market purchasers should be left unticked.

    • Ensure Is Active is ticked.

  4. Select Create.

Link a customer to the price list

Once you have created the price list you will then need to link your customer and their sites to it so that they can place orders by following the steps below within the Manage Price Lists page.

πŸ“Œ Note: Only one customer can be linked a price list, if you have multiple customers on the same pricing and product offering, they need to be linked to their own individual price list on the system.

  1. Click Edit to the right of the newly created price list.

  2. Click into the Assigned Purchasers tab.

  3. Select the Customer name from the drop-down menu.

  4. Click the + to expand to open up the site lists.

  5. Tick the box next to each site you wish to link to the price list.

  6. Select Assign to Price List.

Now that you have created the price list and linked the sites you need to add your products and pricing for the customer, if the products are already existing in your Procure Wizard catalogue this can be done using the Price list export or by using the Single or Batch product creation methods if you need to add new products that are not already listed on the system.
