Create a batch recipe

If you need to build a recipe, update the number of portions, or you need to understand the difference between a dish and a recipe in Procure Wizard, you can do this with the information in this article.

A recipe is a preparation of ingredients that make several portions then be used as a portion within a dish.

To create a recipe, follow the steps below:

πŸ“ŒNote: If building a recipe that will then be purchased by a site for central production units (CPUs) the product added to recipe will be the batch recipes assigned PID and not a recipe portion.

  1. Click the Admin Cogs icon.

  2. Click Menus, Dishes and Recipes, then click Manage Batch Recipes.

    • Alternatively, you may have Menus And Dishes on your main dashboard depending on your access.

  4. Click Build New Recipe.

  5. Enter the required fields:

    • Title.

    • Short description.

    • Amount:

      • The quantity the recipe makes.

      • You can add this measurement and sub-measurements to a dish.

  6. Click Create.

  7. Click the Ingredients tab use the following buttons to populate your recipe with ingredients:

    • Add product.

    • Add recipe portion.

    Once you've created a recipe, you can add it to dishes as an ingredient.
