Fail: Import data is not for this period appearing when trying to import stock take. I get an error message when trying to import stock take.

If an error 'Fail: Import data is not for this period' appears when importing stock within Advanced Stock Take, this could be due to the unique ID code within the file not matching the current stock take. We would always suggest exporting new files to update and re-import to ensure the code is correct. To do so follow the below steps:

  1. Go to the Admin Cogs icon.

  2. Click on Advanced Stock Take tab

  3. Click on Stock Take tab

  4. Edit the relevant stock take

  5. Click on Import/Export tab

  6. The codes in the export file contain unique ID codes, update and re-import data.
