To ensure delivery can be completed in a given day, you can define the latest time a purchaser must place an order using delivery rules.
You can attach multiple purchasers or purchaser units to a delivery rule. Ensure you've assigned all purchasers to a delivery rule before proceeding to accept orders. If you don't set up a delivery rule, it defaults to seven days a week with no cut off time. You can also update a delivery schedule.
Create a new delivery schedule
To create a new delivery schedule, follow the steps below:
From the menu, click Delivery Settings.
Click Delivery Schedules, then click Add Schedule.
Fill in the name of the schedule and optionally a description.
If you have depots created on your account, you can select to attach the rule to an individual depot or all depots.
Fill in the delivery schedule table, please enter all times in 24-hour clock format.
Set your cut off time for each day.
Select the date of delivery if an order is placed:
Before the cut off: Second column.
After the cut off: Last column.
Click Create at the bottom of the screen.
The rule now displays in the delivery rules table.
Exclusion dates
You can set up exclusions to your delivery dates in the Exclusion Dates box by listing any specific dates with no delivery, for example public holidays. You can enter these one per line, in the format dd/mm/yyyy.
Attach units to a delivery schedule
To assign purchasers to a delivery rule, follow the steps below:
From the menu, click Delivery Settings, then click Delivery Schedules.
Click the name of the rule to add the units to.
Click the Assigned Purchasers tab.
From the Purchaser list, select the required option.
Expand the selected site and select the required unit.
To add all purchaser units associated with a purchaser, leave this as All Users.
Click Assign Purchaser.
Apply splitting rules
To apply splitting rules, follow the steps below:
Click Delivery Settings, then click Splitting Rules.
Click Create New Rule.
Fill in the details:
Name.
Description: Optional.
Fixed cost or percentage cost: Optional.
Select a depot: Optional.
Click Create.
