General settings in stock controls

If you need to manage the general settings of the stock controls, you can do this within a few simple steps.

There are several settings that can be activated or deactivated to assist the stock takers with using the stock controls module.

Settings available

πŸ“Œ Tip: All Products delivered in within the selected date range will populate in the stock sheet, for your first stock period its recommended to set the date range back for at least three months to populate your stock sheet with those products.

  • Missed Stock Auto Dropout Limit.

    • Any product not counted will not be carried forward to the next stock take, if set to 0, by entering a numerical value in the box has the action of carrying forward uncounted products for that number of stock takes before being removed.

  • Allow Catalogue Product Additions.

    • Gives the ability to add existing products to the stock take via the stock tab.

  • Allow Custom Product Additions.

    • Gives the ability to add custom products to the stock take via the stock tab.

  • Export Product Quantity as Decimal.

    • Changes the closing value to be shown as a decimal value.

  • Automatically Set Period and Week.

    • Will automatically add this info to the title of the stock take when being created.

  • Display Last Cost in Closed Stock Takes.

    • Allows you to hide the value of the goods being counted.


Accessing general settings

πŸ“Œ Note: The following page is only available to users connected to the head office red building.

  1. Click the Admin Cogs icon along the top bar.

  2. Click Stock Controls, then click General Settings.

  3. Use the check boxes to activate or deactivate the settings.

  4. Click the Update button to save any changes.
