Add products directly to the stock take in stock controls

If you need to add additional products to the stock take, you can do this within a few simple steps.

When needed additional products can be added directly to a stock take in the form of an existing catalogue product or a custom product. Custom products are useful for recording the value contained within prepped recipes.

Catalogue Product

To add a catalogue product please follow the below steps:

  1. Click the Admin Cogs Cogs.jpg icon along the top bar.

  2. Click Stock Controls, then click Stock Taking.

  3. Locate the stock take and click the Edit Edit icon.jpg icon, then click the Stock tab.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to locate option add catalogue product.

  5. Enter the product PID into the product ID box. If you need to add multiple products this can done by entering 1 PID code per line.

  6. The price will be displayed as AUTO, this means the system will use the last known invoice price. If the product has not been purchased, it's advisable to enter the known list price so the product is costed correctly within your stock take.

  7. Click Add Product.


Custom Product

To add a custom product please follow the below steps.

πŸ“Œ Notes:

  • Once created and added to the stock take you cannot remove or amend the product.

  • Using custom products to record the monetary value within prepped recipes can be done using the following format, this allows you to use the same custom product in future stock takes by recording the quantity as the value.
    Quantity = the value of stock held in the recipes example 3000.
    Unit Price = Set to 1.00 - 1 pound or euro.

  1. Click the Admin Cogs Cogs.jpg icon along the top bar.

  2. Click Stock Controls, then click Stock Taking.

  3. Locate the stock take and click the Edit Edit icon.jpg icon, then click the Stock tab.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to locate add custom product.

  5. Enter the following information:

    • Description.

    • Pack Size.

    • Quantity.

    • Unit Price excluding VAT.

  6. click Add Product.

  7. The product will appear at the bottom of the product list in the stock tab.
