Create a purchaser product

To create a purchaser product for use for self managed or ad hoc suppliers, or instead of using custom products within menus, dishes and recipes, you can do this within a few simple steps. This also replaces custom products in menus, dishes and recipes.

Purchaser products can be created when building one or five products for a self managed or ad hoc supplier, or due to the removal of custom products from menus, dishes and recipes - MDR, it is now essential to use this to create those temporary products for menu development or products such as tap water.

  1. Click the Admin Cogs along the top bar.

  2. Click Products and Categories, then click Purchaser Products.

  3. Click the button Add Product.

  4. Select the top, second and product category using the lists provided. You will only be able to select existing purchaser categories, please visit or guide on managing and building new categories to learn more.

  5. Fill out the product details and specifications:

    • Description.

    • Allow decimal quantity (this is only used for weighted items bought and invoiced at the decimal value).

    • Packs in a case.

    • Unit is in a pack.

    • Unit size.

    • Pack display (automatically populated but can be adjusted if needed).

    • tax rate.

  6. Click the Create button.
